When I was about 6, my father sexually abused me. I didn't tell anyone, but I should have.

A year later, I was repeatedly abused by my neighbor's son, who was 14 at the time. Every day, my mother watched him while his parents were working, and every day, when we would go outside, he would rape me. I fought all the while, but he was too strong. This went on for about 2 years, until I finally had the courage to tell my mother.

Now, it's extremely difficult to talk about it, but once I get started, I am able to let it go. I have a partner who has stood by me for 3 years and counting, and he pressures me in no way. I plan on staying with him for the rest of my life, and I feel like if what happened to me back then had never happened, I wouldn't have met my first love, and I wouldn't be who I am today.

I'm stronger now.
