One of the best presentations I've heard to date. He knows how to involve his audiences so it's more of a group discussion rather than a boring lecture that many other guest speakers give. I'm glad you do what you do Mike because you're absolutely amazing at it!!! I really hope I am fortunate enough to hear you speak again in the future!

I went to the can I kiss you presentation on the 14th. Honestly at first I wasnt expecting much. I thought it would be another silly thing telling us the same things we've heard a thousand times. But the way I look at somethings now is totally different. It was great since it was funny mixed in with serious. You got the point across! I called three of my friends that night. Thank you so much for what you do!

I really enjoyed the presentation and I have even used the question since seeing the seminar.  I have also opened doors with my friends and family and found out one of my good friends was raped when she was little. She and I talk about a lot more now.  The seminar was quite awesome and I was very glad to have had that experience of being there.

I'm a western student who attended Mike's presentation and to be honest, it was absolutely brilliant.  His eloquence, and humour is only exceeded by his uncanny ability to keep an audience excited and engaged.  In addition to entertaining, I also found him very informative.  Moreover his approach to human beings is a wonderful blend of morality and respect taking into consideration the sentiments of the person one interacts with.  Mike's presentation completely eliminates the dogma society has adopted when it comes to interactions with another person.  Mike is the quintessential image of what every human being should strive to become and that is: respectful, caring, cautious, open minded, ethical, polite, courageous, and compassionate.  There's a saying in shakespeare that goes something like this: ..."wear your heart on your sleeve."  Mike embodies this statement in the sense that he is honest, with both himself and his audience.   A wonderful well-rounded individual and a captivating presentation.

I really Hope I will be granted with the priviledge of seeing him in the not-too-distant future.

One of the best presentations I've ever been to.  I'll definitely be encouraging everyone I know to come see this presentation when it comes to Northwest again.  I hope this presentation gets taken into high schools as well, because anyone who is dating age needs to experience it.  It gave me the courage and inspiration to get my voice out there and share my story.  What an amazing and NEEDED message!  What happened to Mike's sister was horrible.  I would never wish anyone to have to walk that road, but what courage and strength, and what an amazingly powerful message has come from it -- a message that's going to impact people wherever they go!

Thank you, Mike for all you are doing to get this message of respect, boundaries, and opening the door out!  It literally is changing lives!

The presentation was direct and Mike did a good job of keeping the audience interested and involved. There's no better way to have that effect on people than to not hold anything back, and be direct. This is real life, and to treat it is a taboo really prevents us from becoming educated on the subject.

Thank you, Catherine, for your kind words and for letting us know how you appreciated the "clean" approach.  Everyone at your campus was wonderful to work with!

Thank YOU, Carolyn, for sharing with all of us.  Reading your post and the words of survivors in our forums always humbles me.  Laugh

I loved the presentation. It was hilarious, but had serious undertones. It is important that we see how asking such a simple question can impact relationships so much.

As a rape survivor, I particularly appreciated you talking about how everyone always just says "Sorry." It is so true that we wind up consoling them, saying "It's ok." The night of the show I had three friends say "Thanks for sharing with me." or "I feel honored that you shared with me." You have no idea how great it made me feel to hear those things. It was so helpful. I don't share for sympathy, I share so that others know that these things can happen and how to prevent them from happening. This short part of the presentation helped me so much as I am still trying to recover. It showed me that people are almost afraid and don't know what to say, rather than just passive or not caring. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I was at the presentation at NDSCS on 9/24/2009 and enjoyed your message so much I even purchased your "May I Kiss You" book.  I think your message is great.

In the past, I have sometimes "asked" before going in for a kiss.  Even though I thought that we both wanted to kiss, I wanted to be sure that I was reading her body language correctly and also not wanting to cross the line without permission.  Your presentation and book encourage me to continue to "ask first."

Your performance made me listen because you tied seriousness with comedy, which made me realize some of the things people say are just plain stupid.

Mike,

I was at your program on Sept. 16, 2009 and I got alot out of what you said. I didn't realize all the things that we pretty much go through everyday of our lives that you talked about. I now have a greater feeling about myself and others on the importance of the topics you touched upon. Thank you so much for doing what it is that you do. May God Bless you and your family.

To be honest, I didn't have very high hopes when I heard about this.

I'm glad that you were able to change my mind. It was a lot of fun and it definately made me think about people's actions and to think before I make mine.

Also, I'm totally going to ask in the future.
