Mike Domitrz discusses Taylor Swift case with ABC News and “Self” Magazine

Taylor Swift has been in the news for standing up to someone sexually touching her without her consent. We applaud her for standing up and speaking out.

“I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this,” the 27-year-old singer said in a statement obtained by ABC News. “My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.”

The Date Safe Project was honored to be contacted by ABC News and Self Magazine to join in on the conversation.

In an article by ABC News, The Date Safe Project Founder, Mike Domitrz, commented, “What she did on the stand is to help people realize the gravity, that touching someone against their will, is a big deal,” he said. “That’s what she made very clear — this is outrageous and horrifying.”
