Recently, Progressive Insurance launched a new national TV commercial where their main character, Flo, refers to riding the Pink Pony. Upon our contacting them to inform them of this pornographic sexual reference, they responded quickly and in a very positive action. We give them KUDOs for taking decisive, positive steps to correct the situation. Here is their response:

Thank you for reaching out to us. Your assumption that this was an unintentional oversight is correct—we would never intentionally develop a commercial with inappropriate language. In fact, we tested the content of this ad with hundreds of viewers and didn’t receive such feedback. We are pulling the ad while we determine our next steps.

Please contact Progressive Insurance and THANK THEM for removing the commercial. Let them know how happy you are to see them upholding strong community standards in their marketing of the company.
